Loes de Bot obtained her law degree in 1991 at the Radboud University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands, after spending her last year in law school at the University of Essex in the U.K. As from 1991 she worked for two years at a small consultancy firm in Barcelona, Spain, where she became fluent in Spanish. At her return to the Netherlands in 1993 she started her career in corporate and trust management working for Amaco (Netherlands) B.V. in Rotterdam. From 1996 to 1999 she worked for Amaco (Curaçao) N.V. and from 1999 to 2006 in various positions for the Amaco group in the Netherlands. She relocated to the Curacao office in 2006, about a year before the Amaco group was acquired by ANT. Since August 2007 Loes is Deputy Managing Director of ANT Management (Curaçao) N.V. She also holds various positions in boards of financial institutions and is specialized in Curacao international banks.
